AUTHENTICITY

FOR ALENTEJO. FOR TRADITION. FOR WINE.

WHERE THE DIFFERENCE COMES FROM

Monte da Capela is located in the sub-region of Moura on the left bank of the Guadiana River, the warmest region of Portugal. The terroir is based on soils of limestone and in the unique climate of the Pias region, able to produce wines concentrated in aroma and flavor.

Currently, the Estate is entirely occupied by 50ha of vineyards. The main grape varieties planted are:
• Reds: Alfrocheiro, Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez and Trincadeira;
• Whites: Antão Vaz and Arinto.

The grapes are obtained from low fertile limestone soils and on slopes with a considerable declivity which, together with the type of grape varieties, cultural techniques and climate, give the wines characteristics sui generis and of great quality. The wines obtained there are strong and concentrated in color and aroma.
